i've noticed you've switched over to uploading lower-resolution pictures? I'd still be in the game for some bigguns'---they really look great on my 1900x1200 screen... i'll have to show you sometime- (i'd daf. make sure that a beefy resolution is a high priority for you when you're getting your new lappy)
1900x1200? how have your eyes not exploded from that? mine at work is 1680x1050. i dont think i could go above that and use it for any length of time. but yeah, the new laptop has to go over my current 1024x768 (on a 15" screen that gets really old)
yeah, i usually upload most pictures at 900x600 cause it seems large enough for people who are interested to see, but small enough to not fill up my GB of space on blogger. i guess this would be to you and everyone else, if you would like anything in a higher resolution, just email me or leave a comment and i'll send it your way quick fast and in a hurry. as long as your res. isn't over 3000x2000 we're in business.
vista seems to do a good job of making things still very comfortable on the eyes- icons/text- while still keeping the high res. not sure if that makes sense- or maybe i just adjusted to it and don't think about it any more- but it doesn't seem any different than my 1400x800 (somewhere around there) that was on my last laptop...
